It’s that time of year again! Google is out with its review of what people searched for in 2014. These things are pure genius on Google’s part; not only are they great advertisements, they’re moving tributes to the events of the past year. The editing is superb, and while they couldn’t fit everything in, they did a great job of capturing the spirit of 2014.
One difference this year – they changed the name. Previous year end videos were called “Google Zeitgeist.” They probably dropped it because no one knew what the hell that means. A quick check of good ‘ole Merriam-Webster tells us “Zeitgeist” means “the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era.” Well that makes sense. Anyway, I think I like the 2013 edition a little bit better, but you be the judge!
